Course Aims
This course aims to provide learners with an understanding of self-neglect, including its definition, warning signs, and the legal context within the Care Act. It will support learners to recognise self-neglect in real-life situations and respond appropriately using good practice approaches. The course also explores the role of care workers in identifying and addressing self-neglect, highlighting missed opportunities and promoting effective, person-centred practice. Through real-life scenarios, learners will build confidence in making informed decisions and embedding good practice in their work.
