Course Aims
This course aims to provide learners with a clear understanding of urinary and bowel incontinence, including how the urinary tract functions and the different types of incontinence. It will support learners to recognise appropriate management strategies, including non-surgical treatments and continence assessments. The course also explores the use of urinary catheters, including when they are required, associated risks, and common complications. Learners will develop knowledge of key techniques and good practice to support safe, effective, and person-centred care.
