To provide Fire Safety & Fire Wardens information  

Learning Aims

• Identify the dangers and hazards on means of escape routes and prevent them from happening.  

• Understand the role of a fire warden and be able to show knowledge of that role and its responsibilities.  
• Outline the legislative framework behind fire safety in the workplace.  
• Recognise the main causes of fire and how it spreads.  
• Explain how a fire extinguisher operates and identify the types and uses of various fire extinguishers and their capabilities.  
• State what to do in case of fire and react according to the Care Homes emergency fire plan and routine, including evacuation procedures.
